7.10 Connecting lifting columns
You can interconnect up to eight lifting columns using the connection lead. In this way, you can
increase the number of lifting columns moved synchronously.
7.10.1 Lifting column connection principle
Lifting columns are interconnected in a 3-step sequence:
Step 1: Connect the controls with the connection lead
Example: You want to interconnect three lifting columns. To do this, you need two connection
leads and two termination plugs.
•
Interconnect the lifting columns as shown in the picture below.
Step 2: Fit the termination plugs
•
After connecting the lifting columns, plug the termination plugs into the first and last lifting
columns (see picture). Only after fitting the termination plugs can you work with the inter-
connected lifting columns.
Step 3: Set up the lifting columns (Master/Slave)
The lifting column with the hand switch must always be the so-called Master lifting column. All
other lifting columns which you connect are so-called Slave lifting columns.
The Master lifting column takes over the control function for the connected Slave lifting columns.
This is why the hand switch must always be connected to the corresponding socket on the Master
lifting column. Only then can the lifting columns be moved synchronously.
You should only interconnect lifting columns running the same software and hard-
ware versions.
