8.4 Using Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology. Devices with Bluetooth capabilities can
exchange information over a distance of about 10 meters without requiring a physical connection. You
can even beam information to a device in a different room, as long as it is within range.

Before transferring files, you must turn on Bluetooth and establish a Bluetooth partnership between
your device and the other device (typically your PC, but it could equally be a headset or another
phone).
