Troubleshooting
This section is a reference guide if you are having any problems with your instrument.
Troubleshooting outlines what to do if your instrument or software malfunctions or crashes.
Hardware
Problem: During the installation procedure the USB devices are not
recognized.
Description This may mean that there is not enough power on the USB sockets on your
PC.
Solution Ensure that your PC has USB 2.0 sockets. If you are not sure, use a USB 2.0
power hub.
Problem: The software installation stops during the Philips VCheck step.
Description In the VCheck dialog that is displayed while the software performs a number
of checks on your system, the Progress bar halts before the checks have
been completed.
Solution Click Cancel and then repeat the installation using the procedure described
in
Installing Spectrum Software
on page 54 to install the alignment camera
software.
Problem: You are prompted for the camera drivers more than once.
Description This may happen if you disconnect the instrument control USB cable and
reattach it to a different USB port, or if you switch the instrument off and
then switch it on again.
