The shipment of lithium cell and lithium batteries must contain labeling information according
to 60
th
edition of IATA Dangerous goods regulation 2019.
•
All hazards and handling labels must conform in shape, format, symbol and text as
shown in the regulations, all other are forbidden.
•
The label must be affixed beside the name and address of the shipper or consignee on
the package.
•
The label of dangerous goods must be visible and should be placed on the top of the
packaging and should not be covered by any other obstacle attached to the packaging.’
•
Large packages should be labeled on the two opposite sides.
•
The damaged or irrelevant labels already on the over pack should be removed.
•
The hazard label must conform the regulations for the minimum dimensions and should
be placed on goods in diamond shape (45
˚
)
It is shipper’s responsibility to apply label and make provisions.
