8.2 Frequently Asked Questions
The most commonly asked questions by The System users are,
Q: Why doesn’t the Main Indicator Light on the Charging Bay light up?
A: Make sure the power plug is connected to the mains and that the Mains Power Indicator
LED is lit.
Q: Why is there no connection to the Web Portal?
A: Make sure the antennas of the Technical Cabinet are not damaged and are mounted
correctly.
Q: Why is there no communication between the Node and the Main Unit?
A: Make sure antennas are properly installed on both the Node and the Main Unit. Make sure
they are within radio range and not too close together (less than 1 m).
Q: Why does not the Node / Main Unit start even though they are charging?
A: Make sure the battery level of the Node and Main Unit are charged enough. A deeply
discharged battery needs at least 20 minutes or up to an hour of reduced charging current
(trickle charge) before it can start up. This is indicated by a faint red glow on the indicator LED
lamps.
Q: Why doesn’t the Node / Main Unit respond?
A: Make sure the battery is charged and that both are within the radio range.
Q: Why does the Node measure negative temperatures?
A: Make sure the thermocouple is installed with right polarity.
