Thermocouples should ideally be prepared and installed in good time before the pour
while the rebar is still accessible and before the shuttering of forms.
Each channel has two gold plated turret type binding post connector.
Connect the brown lead to the brown connector and the white lead to the white connector.
Make sure there is no short circuit between the leads next to the binding post
connector. Such a short circuit will cause the temperature at the short circuit to be
measured instead of in the measurement point.
The channels are defined from their respective connector’s position on the Node enclosure.
Holding the Node with the antenna towards the sky the channel TOP is the uppermost input
and the channel BOTTOM is the lowermost channel. When data is presented on the Web
Portal these definitions are important to remember in order to evaluate the measured data.
