1.
Locate the 3/8" x 72" long hoses. These hoses do not have tie with them. Once located, connect the hoses
to the end of the hydraulic block, see Detail A. These hoses are the supply hoses for the hydraulic block
and they are connected to the combine's hydraulic system that controls the fore/aft hydraulic or the
hydraulic deck plate control. This circuit is located at the feeder house of the combine or within the single
point connection on the feeder house if the combine is equipped with one. On newer systems, the fore/aft
control is located on the corn head as the deck plate control and the hoses will have to be connected here
for correct operation.
2.
The next hoses to be attached will be the lift cylinder hoses. Locate the 1/4" x 210" hydraulic hose with a
blue tie, and the 1/4" x 198" hydraulic hose with a green tie. These hoses are attached at port three with
the tee fittings, See Detail A and Detail B for their connection. Be sure to route the hoses so they will not
be pinched and are out of the way.
3.
Locate the 1/4" x 22" long hydraulic hose with no tie and the 1/4" x 28" hydraulic hose with no tie. See
Detail A for their connection.
4.
Port one, in Detail A, will supply hydraulic oil to the deck plate or stripper plates if the corn head is
equipped with that feature. If the corn head does not have deck plates/stripper plates or if they are
electric, port one will need to be plugged with the supplied plugs. The end user will have to get the hoses
for this feature.
5.
Corn heads with single acting deck plates will only use the top port and the bottom port will have to be
capped.
6.
Once the hydraulic hoses are installed, be sure to tighten all the connections.
