Cake
Rum Cake
Dish:
10 inch bundt or tube pan,
greased

Ingredients:
Cake:
1 lb (500 g)
package of yellow
cake mix
4 eggs

cup (120 ml) water

cup (120 ml) oil

cup (120 ml) dark rum
1 cup
fi
nely chopped
walnuts
Rum Glaze:
4 tbsp
butter, melted

2
cup (100 g)
sugar
1

3
cup (80 ml)
dark rum
Method:
Using an electric mixer, beat cake mix,
eggs, water, oil and rum, in a large
bowl, for 2 minutes. Preheat oven
325°F (160°C)
. Pour batter into greased
bundt or tube pan. Place bundt or tube
pan on Metal Pan and
Bake 325°F
(160°C)
for 45-55 minutes.
To Complete:
Prepare rum glaze by heating butter
and sugar at
P7
for 1 minute. Stir in
rum. Pierce cake all over with a long
skewer. Pour half the glaze over cake.
Invert cake onto serving plate and
drizzle remaining glaze over cake until
it is all absorbed. Sprinkle with nuts.
Store covered.
