Cause:
Two or more external input functions which may not be combined are set
in one file. The following combinations are not allowed:
• Character entry by
SIN
command/Register function (registered
characters switching via I/O connector)
• Character entry by
SIN
command/Marking offset via I/O signal
• Register function (registered characters switching via I/O
connector)/Marking offset by
SEO
command
• Linking of image processing devices/Trigger mode “Continuous
trigger”
• LP-RC, LP-RF, LP-RV:
Linking of image processing devices/TARGET DETECTION IN (X7)
input of TERMINAL connector
Remedy:
Delete any one of these functions from the file.

Cause:
The marking data include characters that cannot be converted into 2D
code.
Remedy:
• Use characters which can be converted into 2D code.
• For QR Code, change the mode setting. For Data Matrix, change the
character type setting. For PDF417, change the compaction mode
setting.
E666
Cause:
• The 2D code cannot be generated with the specified settings.
• The number of characters exceeds the upper limit of the selected 2D
code.
Remedy:
Check the code settings and the number of characters.
E667
Cause:
The filling pattern specified for the 2D code is not available in the 2D
code font (font number: 2D).
Remedy:
• Change the filling pattern.
• Add the required font data in the “Data management” screen.
