Specify when marking of the specified lot character string must start and end. Enter
the values in the columns “From” and “To”.
The value for the period end (column “To”) must be equal or larger than the period
start value (column “From”).
If the set start and end values span several intervals, you must split the setting into
two or more periods.
Examples
• The lot unit is “Hour” and you want to set the period from 22:00 to 3:00 of the next
day. The hour interval is defined as a period of 24 hours. In this case you must
specify two separate periods. The first period covers the 2 hours from 22:00 to
23:59 and the second one runs from 0:00 to 3:00.
• The lot unit is “Day of week” and you want to set the period from Saturday to
Sunday. The week interval is defined as a period of 7 days from Sunday (start) to
Saturday (end). If you set “From Saturday To Sunday”, the lot function does not
work. In this case you must set two separate periods, “From Saturday To Saturday”
and “From Sunday To Sunday”.

Double-click on the respective row to add or edit the lot character string for a period
(max. 9 characters).
Setting range: alphanumeric characters, symbols, user-defined characters, Japanese
or Simplified Chinese characters
• Select “User-defined characters”, to insert a user-defined character.
• You cannot set functional characters such as date/time or counter in the lot
character strings.
• To use Japanese or Simplified Chinese characters, specify the character set under
“East Asian characters” in “File settings”.

Select “OK” to close the dialog.
The specified lot character string is displayed in the column “Lot character”.
Delete a lot configuration:
• Select the lot configuration number under “Lot”, for example “Lot 1”, and select “Delete”.
Example
Instead of marking the month names, you want to use a three-letter abbreviation for each
month.
• Replace “January” with the lot character “JAN”.
• Replace “February” with the lot character “FEB”.
• Replace “March” with the lot character “MAR”.
• etc.
