Operations

When the Dialled Line is
Busy or There is No
Answer

When the party that you dialled is busy or does not
answer, there are several ways to let the other party
know that you called.
This section explains how to perform the following
operations:

Send a call waiting notification (page 90)

Leave a message waiting indication (page 90)

Leave a voice message (page 90)

Reserve a busy line (page 91)

Join the call (page 91)

Overriding Do Not Disturb (DND Override)
(Page 91)

Sending a Call Waiting
Notification (Call Waiting)

When the dialled party is busy, you can send a call
waiting notification to let the other party know you are
calling. The called party will hear a call waiting tone at
their extension.

Operation in Call List mode
1.

On the 

Calls

Wait and send call

waiting

The dialled extension’s status will change to
"Ringing".

Operation in Line Buttons mode

This feature is available only for internal calls.

Leaving a Message Waiting
Indication

When the called party is busy or does not answer your
call, you can leave a notification so that the called party
can call you back.

Operation in Call List mode

Note

This feature is available only for internal calls.

Leaving a Voice Message

If the called party does not answer, you can leave a
voice message.
To use this feature you must have a Panasonic Voice
Processing System (VPS). You must also set the
VPS’s extension number. For details, see "Dial Number
Settings (Page 123)".
This function is only available if the 

Calls

 screen is set

to Call List mode.

When you have an incoming call, the

 button is unavailable.

This feature is available only for internal calls.
