KV-SSM100/KV-SS1100 Network Scanner Adapter Administrator’s Guide

KV-SSM100 System Recovery:

System Recovery is necessary, for example, if you forgot (or don’t have access to) the administrator password. This operation will erase 
all settings and all updates from the device; all data will be lost and cannot be recovered. Also, the unit will be downgraded to the original 
system version that was shipped with the unit.

To continue, proceed as follows:

1.

 If adapter is On, press [

Power

] button to turn unit 

Off

. 

2.

 Connect a 

USB keyboard

 to the USB port on the unit.

3.

 Turn adapter 

On

. 

4.

 Follow

, based on the adapter’s Start-up Screen.

Note: The process will take a few minutes. See bottom of display for

a.   On  Windows Boot Manager screen, select Factory Recovery, and then

reconfigure the adapter, see
