Taking motion pictures

The camera can be changed between motion picture recording formats ([REC MODE])
when recording.

[AVCHD Lite

•
Can record high-definition motion pictures that include recording of location
name information for the location where recording was started.
•
Can record high-definition motion pictures that include recording of place
name information for the recording location.
•
Can record high-definition motion pictures longer than [MOTION JPEG] on
cards of the same size.
•
Although the recording format is the same as “AVCHD Lite”, because data
such as location name information is added, playback on an AVCHD-
compatible device is not possible. (Current as of January 2010)

Can record high-definition motion pictures.
•
Can record high-definition motion pictures longer than [MOTION JPEG] on
cards of the same size.

Pictures can be played back by inserting the card in an AVCHD-compatible
device.
[MOTION JPEG]

With change of picture quality settings, can record high-definition motion
pictures, small QVGA size motion pictures, etc.

Recorded motion pictures can be played back with ‘QuickTime’ on a PC ,
etc.

The time that can be recorded at once is until the motion picture data
volume reaches 2 GB. To continue recording, press the motion picture
button and begin recording again.
