Position the smartphone closer to your
ear to prevent sound leaking back to the
microphone. Keep your hand away from
the microphone hole, which is on the
lower-right side of your smartphone.
•
If you’re using Speakerphone mode
with your smartphone lying on a flat
surface, try turning the smartphone
“face down” (screen facing the
surface).
Are you hearing your own voice echo?
Ask the other person to turn down their
volume or to hold the phone closer to
their ear.
Is your voice too quiet on the other end?
Be sure to hold the bottom of the
smartphone, or the hands-free
microphone, close to your mouth.
Check the signal strength indicator. If the
signal is weak, try to find an area with
better coverage.
