6. Once the front and side retainers are in place (Figure 70 and Figure 71), the log base pieces can be
installed.
7. Install the three base pieces (Figure 54) as shown in Figure 72. The base pieces, in addition to adding an
aesthetic dimension to the overall appearance, help to complete an enclosure for holding the vermiculite
/ glowing ember material pieces on top of the burners. The two side pieces have one hole each to accept
the posts protruding from the bottom of logs two and four.
8. Place included metal spacer/support over top of the left-hand side post located on the front burner
(Figure 73). This spacer will support the front end of log number two.
