Log set Installation
Note:
Panel set must be installed before the Traditional log set installation begins.
1. Begin by placing the air deflector / 1st log support (Figure 62) behind the rear burner and up against the
rear wall (Figure 63). Fasten the deflector down with supplied screws. Once the deflector is secured, there
should be a gap of approximately 1/2 inch between the deflector and the burner (Figure 64). This gap is
required for air flow. Also secure the rear vermiculite retainer (Figure 62) along the back of the rear burner
so that its lip faces toward the front of the fireplace (Figure 64). This will help to keep the vermiculite from
spilling over from the burner and down into the air gap.
2. The number one log will rest on top of the air deflector. However, the bottom front edge of the number one
log will rest on top of the air deflector lip as shown in Figure 65.
