Any combination of rise and
run can be used but must be
constrained to the boundaries of
this chart. The total vent length
can not exceed 40 feet (12.2m)
and the horizontal vent pipe can
not exceed 20 feet (6.1m).
A maximum of four (4) 90° elbows
or combination of other elbows
equaling 90° can be used without
reducing horizontal run. For each
additional 90° elbow, or an equal
combination of elbows, reduce
horizontal vent run by 2 feet.
Having the fewest number of
elbows is ideal as they tend to
restrict vent flow.
Ensure vent pipe is properly
supported. Consult the Vent
Pipe manufacturer's installation
instructions.
Note: The unit is shipped
with 5 restrictor rings.
Depending on the vent
configuration, one of these
rings may need to be installed
to achieve proper operation
and flame appearance. See
Vent Restrictor section in
this manual.
Caution: Allow ample
time for the unit to cool
before installing or changing
a restrictor rings.
