Typical defects caused by incorrect positioning
•
X-rays with elongated or shortened images
The X-ray beam is not perpendicular to the bisector of the angle
formed by the longitudinal axis of the tooth and by the film.
•
X-rays with the top of the tooth elongated
Probably caused by the excessive folding of the film in the
patient's mouth.
