4.1.2  Platen, Pinch Roller, and Feed Rollers 

1.  Turn off the power and disconnect the Power Cord.  
2.  Open the Top Cover fully. 
3.  Turn the Head Lever to 

OPEN

 position, and pull out the Ribbon Module.  

4.  Remove the Plates A, B (CP-1002 only), and C. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
5.  Remove paper particles or dust from the Platen, Pinch Roller, and Feed Rollers with the enclosed 

Dust Brush.  Or, wipe them with a soft cloth slightly moistened with alcohol. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
6.  After cleaning the Platen, Pinch Roller, and Feed Rollers, reassemble the Plates A, B (CP-1002 

only), and C in the reverse order of removal.   

 

NOTE

: For the CP-1001 series, the Plate A and Plate C share the centre stud.  Be sure to fit the Plate 

A prior to Plate C.  For the CP-1002 series, fit the Plate B last.
