4. Problems during Charging
If a problem occurs with the battery or the charger during charging, the "Charging" lamp and the "Refresh" lamp on
the charger, and the battery capacity display lamps, light to alert the user to the problem.
The charging lamp and the refresh lamp of the charger blink simultaneuosly.
This indicates an internal fault of the battery. Please replace the battery with
a new one.
The fourth battery capacity lamp blinks.
This indicates an internal fault of the battery. Please replace the battery with
a new one.
The charging lamp and the refresh lamp of the charger blink alternately at a fast rate
(1 second intervals) and the third battery capacity lamp blinks.

• A contact point fault may have occurred. Inspect for clogging by debris,
etc. between the terminals of the battery and those of the charger and if
there is any, remove the debris, etc. Also, if a contact point is covered
with dust, wipe it off with a dry cloth, while being careful not to deform or
damage the contacts.
• The battery fuse may be blown out. Open the fuse lid at the side of the
battery and inspect the fuse. If the fuse is blown out, replace it with the
spare fuse which is attached to the protection cap.
WARNING
Since there is danger of fire, etc., use only the designated fuse (20 A blade
fuse) for the battery, never use a wire, etc. in place of the designated fuse.
The first, third, and fifth battery capacity lamps blink.
The battery temperature is not suitable for charging. Wait until the battery
reaches an appropiate temperature, and then start charging.
The charging lamp and the refresh lamp of the charger blink alternately at a slow rate
(2 second intervals).
There is a fault in the charger. Replace the charger with a new one, and
then perform charging.
