Using the joystick
To make the lift move: push and hold the joystick in the direction you wish
to travel. After a slight delay, the stairlift will begin to move until you release
the joystick or reach the top/bottom of the rail.
Arm rest controls
Located on the arm rest of the stairlift are: the Arm Display,
Key Switch and the Holding Switch.
Arm Display
- This display tells you in real-time what the stairlift
is doing. Depending on current lift status the display will show
the following:

- The lift is moving upwards
MOVING DOWN
- The lift is moving downwards
ARRIVED TOP
- The lift has arrived at the top

Using your remotes
You can also use your remote controls to move your stairlift.
Press the Up Arrow on the remote to move upwards and
the Down Arrow to move the stairlift down the stairs.

Safety edges
If your stairlift comes into contact with any objects on its travel, the
stairlift will stop. The object must be removed to allow continuation of
your journey. The lift will drive in the opposite direction of the obstacle
to assist removal.

Retractable seatbelt
Pull the seat belt buckle out and across the body then clip into the
locking side with the red button. Once the lift has stopped and you
are ready to get off, hold onto the belt and press the red
button to release. The belt will then retract back out of the way.
Seatbelt must be worn at all times.
3
Swivel seat
Your stairlift comes equipped with a swivel lever as standard. Once
you reach the top of the stairs pull the lever upwards. This will allow
the seat to swivel out so you can easily step off. To swivel back lift
the lever again and swivel back to the position, once you let go the
lever will safely slot into position.
If you have an upgraded Powered Swivel. Push the joystick when
arrived at the top to swivel. Either release the joystick to stop or
wait for it to reach its limit. Don’t worry the lift will not allow you to
swivel too far. To swivel back push the joystick across to the down-
ward direction.
Power cut?
Power ON/OFF Switch
- This switch interrupts the battery supply.
We recommend you leave it switched on unless you have a power
cut. During a power cut switching off at this switch will maximise
battery capacity for use.
In the event of a power cut or if the stairlift was to stop during travel,
the stairlift can be wound down using the Hand winder tool provided.
On the main Chassis:
1. Turn OFF using the Power ON/OFF Switch
2. Remove the white plug
3. Insert the Hand Winder onto the shaft
4. Turn clockwise to move Up and anti-clockwise to move Down.
