Osmetech OPTI 1 Handle
The Osmetech OPTI 1 is equipped with a carrying handle for easy transport.
To remove the handle, first separate the lower portion of the analyzer. To access
the handle, remove the battery compartment, gas manifold module and storage
compartment (See the respective sections for removal instructions). Next remove
the four (4) self-tapping screws which hold the handle in place.
Pump Nipples
In case the pump nipples are damaged they need to be replaced. Damage usually
occurs during removal of the pump receptacles. To remove damaged nipples,
remove the pump cartridge and the pump receptacles. Open up the instrument,
disconnect the tubes from the nipples and cut the nipples off flush with the
housing (See Operator’s Manual for pump receptacle removal procedures).
Pull the remainder of the nipple out through the topside of the housing. The new
nipples are inserted from the back of the housing with the large end pushed
through the housing. To seat the nipples, use a suitable tool (small pliers) press
hard against the base of the nipple, until it clicks in place.
