Custom and premade Matrix’s and Logos should be fixed to O.MATRIX BASE MP/MPEMD with the
O.MATRIX FRAMEWORK MP01/MPEM and then fitted to the heater head.
Small matrices you can also stick to O.MATRIX BASE GP4/GP5/IP/MP01/MP02/MPEMD with screw
and then screw it to the O.SCREW MATRIX BASE MP1/MPEMD with handle.
1. Switch the power on, run the calibration sequence, the heater starts to heat up straight away
which will take a few minutes and is indicated on the control panel, when the correct tem-
perature is reached you will hear a bleep and the thermostat stops moving. You can put your
Matrix/logo or text on when it is heating up to save time.
2. Place your text or matrix on the heater head this will take time to warm up. The temperature
will be displayed on the control panel, when it has reached a stable temperature you will
hear a bleep, now you can make a test stamping.
Attention!
Warm-up time for your typeface fonts/matrix is dependent on their size and can range from
a few to several minutes. Therefore, before stamping your finished project, make a test on a
blank cover of the same type to ensure a perfect job.
3. Attach the roll of printing foil on the unwinding shaft (remove the wind off shaft and loosen the
thumb screw of one of the retaining plates and remove, put the roll of foil on the shaft, „ensure
that the dull side faces down” and replace the retaining plate and tighten the thumb screw).
• The plates supporting the foil roll has spikes. When mounting the roll on the unwinding
rod the cardboard part of the roll should be pressed hard against the plate with spikes to
hold it firmly.
• There are recesses on the unwinding shaft to help the fitting of the foil, where the counter
screw for the roller mounting plate should tight (the plate on the back). The first depres-
sions from the center of the roller determine the position of the plate for the 180 mm wide
foil, the second 210, and the third (closest to the end) 230 mm. Additionally, on the oppo-
site side of the roller, for the 230 mm rolls, there is also such a recess. The outer positions
determining the maximum disc spacing must not be exceeded, because the disc with the
locking knobs will hit the body of the unwinding frame. The 180 and 210 mm film recesses
help setting the roll with the film in a central position with respect to the heater plate.
Pull the end of the foil under the heater and attach symmetrically to the rewinding shaft
(unfold the halves of the shaft, insert the end of the foil between them and fold it again),
put the shaft on the rewinder and start manual scrolling with the button on the panel,
make 1-2 turns of the winding shaft to tension the foil.
• Both the wind on and off shafts must be refitted so they are on the motor axles and brake
axles properly and in the hole on the end of the wind on and off shafts - in the position
of the markers; shear on motor / brake axis also upwards.
• The unwinder has the ability to adjust the tension of the foil. Adjust the tension so that
the foil is taut and the resistance is not too high for the foil winder motor. Brake output
setting - tighten until slight resistance and unscrew 1-1.5 turns. In the case of too light or
too much tension of the foil, this setting can be corrected. Turning the force adjustment
knob clockwise increases the film tension, while turning it counterclockwise - reduces it.
