1 GETTING STARTED
System Description
Foil Xpress Direct is a compact, desktop printer that replaces traditional hot stamping, silk
screening, and pad printing processes currently used to print and transfer hot stamping
foil directly on to finished items.
Foil Xpress Direct significantly reduces the direct and indirect costs of printing by elimina-
ting costly set up time, as well as the dies, screens, inks, and solvents used in traditional
printing methods. The system is cost effective for long, short, and personalized runs and
applies any computer-generated text and graphics instantly. Foil Xpress Direct Is safe,
easyto-use, and produces sharp durable impressions on demand.
Foil Xpress Direct uses a printhead to heat and press ImPress Systems’ unique Digital De-
corating Foil
TM
onto items - which is REAL hot stamping foil. As the film moves beneath
the printhead, the applied heat and pressure causes the image to transfer from the film
to the product.
Note: ImPress Systems manufacturers several versions of “Foil Xpress Direct”.
