)
• PCM format digital sounds (delivered by CD, MD or BS)
• Dolby Pro Logic format surround software (VHS stereo or VHS hi-fi

Notes:
• This product cannot process 96-kHz sampling frequency digital
signals and other format digital signals such as MPEG.
• To play laser discs with the DOLBY DIGITAL logo, an AC-3RF
demodulator is required.
Automatic judgment of Dolby Digital signals
In the "OPTICAL" or "COAXIAL" input mode, the ED-301 judges the
encoding format of the input signal and, if it is found to be a Dolby
Digital format signal, automatically switches to the correct decoding
mode.
* When the decoding mode is switched, depending on the Dolby Digital
software or playing equipment, a skipped sound or noise may be caused at
an early stage of reproduction.
After playing,
always turn down the output level of the ED-301 or A/V amplifier
before turning off the unit.
