Communications Methods
Section 5-5
5-38
2)
Auto Mode
In auto mode, after receiving an Auto command from the host, the Controller waits for a Tag to
enter the communications area. Since the Controller is in a busy state between Auto command
reception and the completion of communications with the Tag, it does not accept any com-
mands other than the Stop or Reset Command during the period.
In Auto Mode, the communications path between the host device and the Controller is busy until a
Tag approaches the Controller, so the host device cannot send the next command.
1)
The Controller receives the
command.
2)
The Controller waits for a Tag to
enter the communications area of
the Antenna.
3)

Antenna’s communications range,
the Controller communicates with
the Tag.
4)
When communications have
finished, the Controller returns a
response to the host device.
