Trial Operation
Check Items
Check the following on the RFID System before the trial operation of the
whole system.

Procedure for Trial Operation
Turn ON power
Check that the supply voltage the connection of power supply terminals are
correct.
Check that the RUN indicator of the Controller and the POWER indicator of the
Antenna are ON.
Online test with the host
Trial operation of the system
Check the communications between the host and Controller with test commands.
Check the operation of the whole system with actual commands execute.
Completion
Offline Read test in
Test Mode setting
Check the communications between the Antenna and Tag are OK without the
host connected.
Offline Read Test in
Test Mode setting
Set offline Read Test Mode by turning ON pin 3 on Controller DIP switch 3.
By setting the Test Mode, the communications between the Antenna and
Tag can be tested without connecting the host. Use Test Mode to check the
mounting position before the test run.
Communications Test
with Host
By using test commands, the communications between the Controller and
host can be tested. This test allows the checking of the cable connection and
the processing operation of communications before the trial operation of the
whole system.

Prepare a simple communications program on the host and transmit test
commands.
•
If the communications line is normal, the Controller returns the data
received.
