In-Cab Scanner Diagnostic Procedure
Installation Procedure
If it still does not work, it is possible the scanner drivers are corrupted or damaged or that the
USB port on the DIU is damaged. If possible, test with a known good DIU. If this corrects the
problem, RMA the DIU.
Refer to RMA Chapter.
If replacing the DIU does not correct the problem, the cause is probably a fautly scanner or
scanner cable. Refer to the
Return Material Authorization (RMA) Process for Scanners
section.
Installation Procedure

Chapter 8: In-Cab Scanner Installation
for additional installation information.
1.
Move the unit into the Customer Portal Operational Profile with scanning and customer-
preferred applications (one time only).
2.
Position the hardware onto desired location and firmly press down to ensure contact
with the surface.
3.
Connect the smaller end of the scanner cable to the USB port on the end of the
scanner.
4.
Connect the scanner cable to the MCP50 using the USB port on the display.
5.
Store excess scanner cable where it will not be damaged and will not obstruct the driver
or hinder truck performance. Keep cable away from sharp metal edges to avoid
damage.
6.
Calibrate the scanner. From the Scanning Home screen, Tap the
Options
tab.
