8.3 Returning this instrument for repair

When returning this instrument for repair, contact Olympus. With this instrument, include a description
of the malfunction or damage and the name and telephone number of the individual at your location
who is the most familiar with the problem. Also, include a repair purchase order.

Olympus is not liable for any injury or damage that occurs because of repairs
attempted by non-Olympus personnel.

E340 Microscope or
light source
error The filter selector knob of the
Infrared and Blue Light Filter Unit
is set to “IR” while the current
mode is not the IR imaging mode. Set the filter selector knob of the Infrared and
Blue Light Filter Unit to “WLI”. If the problem still
persists, turn OFF the surgical microscope and
LED light source after use, unplug the power
supply plug of the surgical microscope from the
hospital-grade power outlet, disconnect the other
end of the power cord from the power inlet
receptacle, and contact Olympus.
The filter selector knob of the
Infrared and Blue Light Filter Unit
is set to “BL” while the current
mode is not the BL imaging mode. Set the filter selector knob of the Infrared and
Blue Light Filter Unit to “WLI”. If the problem still
persists, turn OFF the surgical microscope and
LED light source after use, unplug the power
supply plug of the surgical microscope from the
hospital-grade power outlet, disconnect the other
end of the power cord from the power inlet
receptacle, and contact Olympus.
