Optical
adapter,
stereo
optical
adapter
Any dirt or water on the surface of the optical adapter
and/or the objective lens in the optical adapter?
Continued use in this condition creates the risk of
damage to the optical adapter and/or distal end.
See "7 Storage
and maintenance"
(P. 68).
Make sure there are no deformities or foreign objects in
the threads of the screws of the optical adapter.
Note that insufficient cleaning can result in a loss of
water tightness between the optical adapter and the
distal end.
Any looseness in optical adapter components?
Never use the optical adapter if any components are
loose. Otherwise, a loose part might fall into the in-
spection object.
Stereo
optical
adapter
Check measurement values in following cases. (RX
(stereo measurement function) only)
●
When the stereo optical adapter is registered
●
Before and after measurement
See "6.5 Check-
ing measurement
values" (P. 58).
Check the serial number on the optical adapter selection
screen when the stereo optical adapter is attached to the
main unit. (RX (stereo measurement function) only)
See "6 Stereo
measurement
procedures (RX
(stereo measure-
ment function)
only)" (P. 51).
LCD monitor
Any surface cracks or other abnormalities?
●
The LCD monitor is manufactured based on precision
technologies. The LCD monitor may contain pixels that do
not light (visible as black dots) or light permanently (visible
as bright dots). This does not indicate a defect or malfunc-
tion of the product.
NOTE
Replacement
required.
Contact Olympus.
Any fingerprints on the screen or other soiling?
See "7 Storage
and maintenance"
(P. 68).
Carrying
case
Any damage, looseness or other irregularities on the
exterior, handle, latch, or other parts of the carrying
case?
Specialized carrying case used?
Use of a non-designated carrying case creates the
risk of the insertion tube or main unit becoming dam-
aged or malfunctioning.
