5.3 Using the thumbnail/retrieve screens
Menu display and functions
The menu displayed on the thumbnail/retrieve screen can be used for the following settings.

DELETE
Image delete
• CANCEL : Do not delete image.
• EXECUTE : Delete image.
On the retrieve screen, the currently displayed image is deleted.
On the thumbnail screen, the currently selected image or all images that are
check marked (
) are deleted.
CHANGE
FOLDER
Switching, renaming or newly creating a folder for image recording and
playback (Thumbnail screen only)
Switches the folder for recording and playing back the image, changes the
folder name, and creates the folder.
The default is "100IV7R1".
Switches to the folder displayed on the menu screen. For operations to switch
to the folder which is not displayed on the menu screen, see "4.3 Switching the
folder from the live screen".
COPY FILE
Copy image files to folder (Thumbnail screen only)
Copies recorded images to a different folder.
The currently selected image or all images that are check marked (
) on the
thumbnail screen are copied.
MOVE FILE
Move image files to folder (Thumbnail screen only
Moves recorded images to a different folder.
The currently selected image or all images that are check marked (
) on the
thumbnail screen are moved.
RENAME FILE
Rename file (Thumbnail screen only)
Changes the name of a recorded image file (within 30 letters).

FORMAT
The USB flash drive formatting (initialization)
• CANCEL : Do not format the USB flash drive.
• EXECUTE : Format the USB flash drive.
CAUTION

Never remove the USB flash drive while formatting is in progress.

Formatting the USB flash drive deletes all of its data.
NOTE

You can use only alphanumeric characters and symbols for folder and file names. Some symbols are
unavailable for folder and file names also.
