Installing System Software
•
USB flash drive
Use the USB flash drive for installing the Fiery system software on the Fiery NX servers or Linux-based Fiery servers.
Note:
Due to the file system restriction, the maximum size of the USB flash drive is 32GB. The minimum size is
16GB.
•
Account information
Use the account information to log in to the EFI Sales Portal to download products.
•
Server name or IP address of the Fiery server
If the account information is not available, or if you are not registered to the EFI Sales Portal, specify the server name
or IP address of the Fiery server from which you can download the system software.
Install the Fiery Installer Builder software
Install the Fiery Installer Builder before loading software onto the storage folder.
To download and install the Fiery Installer Builder

From your web browser, access the EFI Sales Portal (
fiery.efi.com/FIB
).

Select
Fiery Installer Builder
from the list of links.

Click
Download
and read the license agreement.

Click
Accept
to start downloading the software.

Navigate to the downloaded Fiery Installer Builder software file and double-click the .exe file (the file type is
Application
).
When the installation is complete, the Fiery Installer Builder window appears automatically. The Fiery Installer Builder
icon is placed on the Windows desktop.
Start the Fiery Installer Builder
To start the Fiery Installer Builder

Double-click the Fiery Installer Builder icon on the desktop. You can also select
Start
>
EFI
>
Fiery Installer Builder
.

If you start the Fiery Installer Builder for the first time, the
Select location
window appears. Specify the folder that you
will use to store the Fiery products.
You can browse or enter a folder that is located on the local hard disk drive or in the network. The Fiery Installer
Builder will keep this folder location so that you don’t have to enter the folder name again next time you start the Fiery
Installer Builder.
You can change the storage location in the
Settings
window.
Important:
Do not exit the Fiery Installer Builder before it completes the startup process. Exiting the program too
early may cause a problem.
