5.2 Quick Start - Installing and configuring printers
In this chapter, you will learn how to configure different types of printers in PRISMAspool.
With PRISMAspool V4.0, you can define maximum 32 printers. If you have more than 32
printers (defined with an earlier PRISMAspool/PRISMAoffice version), only 32 printers will
be loaded (and be operational) at PRISMAspool start up. In this case, a message will be
loaded in the Windows Event Manager and a warning window will be popped up to alert
about this.
5.2.1 Printer properties
PRISMAspool defines several properties for a printer. These properties determine how a
printer will process a particular job. The PRISMAspool properties set for a printer must of
course be compatible with the printer capabilities and some printer properties cannot be set
for some printers (see supported printers in Annex IV).
The following table describes all possible properties for a printer.
