Job Stapling and Subset Stapling

"Job" and "Subset stapling via UP3I" check boxes are exclusive OR. If "Subset stapling via 
UP3I" is selected instead of "Job", all the Radio buttons are disabled.

Specifying a "Job stapling" will imply no check but only the sending of the corresponding 
PJL statement to the printer. Additionally, if "No staple" is specified, all the UP3I stapling 
will be removed from the jobs before sending to the printer.

Specifying Subset stapling via UP3I will imply checks against the printer. If the printer does 
not report the presence of a UP3I component, a mismatch will be reported and the operator 
will be ask for mounting or activation confirmation.

When a job containing UP3I stapling PCL statement is to be sent on a printer, a check is 
made against the "Subset stapling via UP3I" property of the form. If it is not checked, the 
job will be set in error. 

For compatibility reason with V3.02 handling, no matter the result of the check against the 
form "Subset stapling via UP3I" property, a check is made directly against the printer and 
the job is sent to the printer if the printer supports a UP3I staple component or if the printer 
is used in RAW mode or if the printer is used in PJL not bidirectional. This additional check 
can be inhibited by changing from Yes to No the string value "CheckUP3I_JobVsPrinter" in 
the registry key 
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Oce Printing Systems \ PRISMAspool \ Options".

Job Stapling

It's possible to configure a form in order to set options to staple a job after it has been print-
ed.

PRISMAspool supports 5 options: As in document, No staple, 1 Staple Portrait, 1 Staple 
Landscape and 2 Staples.

Option1: As in document

With this option, PRISMAspool sends no staple command to the printer.

Option 2: No Staple

With this option, a no staple command is sent to the printer. This disables any staple option 
that might be in the original data steam.

Option 3: 1 Staple Portrait

PRISMAspool sends a staple portrait command to the printer.

Option 4: 1 Staple Landscape

PRISMAspool sends a staple landscape command to the printer.

Option 5. 2 Staples

PRISMAspool sends a 2 staples command to the printer.
