7 Windows Print Extension

The Windows Print Extension accepts the print data from applications and adds a job ticket
to the print job. The job ticket can either be created interactively, or a predefined default job
ticked can be used. The Windows Print Extension enables printing to PRISMAspool spool
server in the network as well as to the local.

This component should be selected from the installable components during the installation
of PRISMAspool.

Note:

You need windows administrator right to define and configure a port / printer.

As Windows does not allow certain printer / port operation in the Terminal Server
mode, you must be locally connected to the computer.

7.1 Definition of a WPE printer

To use a Windows Print Extension Printer, you have to define a WPE port and then attach
a Windows Printers to such a port. Proceed as follows:
