and +/0/- POLARITY SWITCH (see also HOLDING CURRENT 21) .
The command signal for the voltage clamp mode
(V mode) is a sum of following input signals:
· 19 HOLDING POTENTIAL (mV), with a
+/0/- switch for selecting the polarity

30/ 32 analog input BNCs (/10mV; /40mV),
·
Calibration: XXX mV, 100 is 100 mV
20 MODE OF OPERATION MODE OF OPERATION
Rotary switch for selection of the three recording
modes of operation, the selected mode of
operation is indicated by a red LED near the
rotary switch.
·
EXT: EXTERNAL CONTROL MODE .
In this position the mode of operation can be
preset by a TTL pulse applied to the
MODE
SELECT BNC connector 26.
· B: BRIDGE MODE (see BRIDGE
BALANCE control 13 )
· C: CURRENT CLAMP MODE using a
discontinuous current injection.
· V: VOLTAGE CLAMP MODE using a
discontinuous feedback.
21 HOLDING CURRENT (nA) HOLDING CURRENT control
and +/0/- POLARITY SWITCH The current injected through the electrode in the
current clamp modes (B and C modes) is the
sum of the following input signals:
· 21 HOLDING CURRENT (nA): With this
control a constant current can be generated,
(ten turn potentiometer, clockwise),
calibrated in nA. The polarity is selected with
a +/0- toggle switch near the control.
· 40 / 41 Analog input BNCs, 1nA/V; 0.1nA/V
· Calibration is X.XX nA (100 is 1.00 nA)
corresponding to the calibration of the
CURRENT DISPLAY 6.
22 OFFSET OFFSET control
Control to zero the output of the electrode
preamplifier (ten turn potentiometer, 0mV = 5);
up to +/-400mV offset can be compensated.
23 AUDIO AUDIO MONITOR loudness control
Output volume of audio monitor (voltage to
frequency conversion of recorded potential.)
