6. DEFAULT IP CAMERA SETTINGS
NOVUS IP cameras have a software (via browser) and hardware (when pressing reset button) option
to restore factory settings.
6.1. Factory software defaults
Restoring factory software defaults reverts settings to default values, apart from network settings. The
camera will be re-started which takes about one minute. Option to restore factory defaults is described
in
SYSTEM UPDATE
tab.
6.2. Factory hardware defaults
To restore factory defaults including IP address and network setting, please follow the list below:
remove power cord
press and hold the
RESET
button at the back of camera’s back
power on the camera. Don’t release the button during the system booting, which takes around 30
seconds
release the button when camera finishes initialization process.
log in to the camera after 1 minute using the default IP (http://192.168.1.200), and user name (root)
and password (pass)
Reset button in NVIP-TDN2401D/IR/MPX1.0 camera is located between circuit boards and is shown
in the picture. To press it you have to use non metal element, e.g. a match
