The modem may also need to be set up with a specific dialing string to establish
communications at 9600 baud. See the modem documentation for specific instructions.
When the remote computer calls the WS-16-A, the WS-16-A’s modem will go off-hook
and the WS-16-A will begin transmitting to the remote computer. All of the WS-16-A’s
functions are available from the remote computer. This includes observing real time
data, looking at the hourly or daily logs, downloading data, and changing setup
parameters such as the logging interval.
When disconnecting, leave the WS-16 running in the row and column or observation
screen display.
