Creating two VLANs “byPort”
To create two VLANs “byPort,” see
“Creating a VLAN “byPort” and adding
ports” on page 121
. One VLAN must have only one ATM port. The second
VLAN can have one or multiple Ethernet ports.
Assigning IP addresses
To assign an IP address to both VLANs:

From the Device Manager menu bar, choose VLAN > VLANs.
The VLAN dialog box opens with the Basic tab displayed (
Figure 51 on
page 121
).
Table 42 on page 122
describes the fields in the VLAN Basic tab.

Click one of the VLANs.
Note:
Each configured ATM 1483 PVC uses one VLAN. The
Passport 8672ATME Module can be configured for a maximum of 256
VLANs per MDA and a maximum of 512 VLANs per card.
