Configuring MVA with the serial menu

To configure the MVA with the serial menu:

1

Connect the serial cable (supplied with your Nortel VPN Router) from the
Nortel VPN Router serial port to a terminal or a communications port of a PC.

2

Power on the terminal or PC.

3

Using a terminal emulation program, such as HyperTerminal on the PC, press

Enter

.

Your terminal emulator must use the following communications

parameters:

•

9600 baud

•

8 data bits

•

1 stop bit

•

No parity

•

No flow control

The Welcome window appears

and you are prompted to supply a user name

and password.
