MAR 2016 49457610 TRIPP HD RevB 3-3
Lockup points are those areas required to be locked
up:
•
WORK
mode: Prior to traveling through crossings,
switches, or other rail obstructions.
•
TRAVEL
mode: During high speed travel,
non-working travel mode.
During maintenance and service of this machine
lockups must also be engaged, unless the lockup of the
assembly prevents access to the area being serviced.
All lockups must be unlocked prior to performing any
working operations.
This machine is equipped with hydraulically operated
lockups. These lockups are engaged (locked) or
disengaged (unlocked) using pushbuttons on the
operator control panel.
To engage the lockups, at the operator control follow
the instructions provided in the table on the previous
page.
IMPORTANT
Make sure that the lockups have engaged correctly.
TRAVEL MODE
To enter into
TRAVEL
mode activate the two position
TRAVEL/WORK
switch, which is located on the right
side of the center operators console.
When switched into
TRAVEL
mode, the workheads
raise or retract. This allows insertion of lockups, inflates
the air springs, and disables the hand controllers.
