6.6- How to adjust or change the Smooth drum’s scraper
The function of the scraper (D) is to prevent
the harvested material from wrapping on the
smooth drum (B) or accumulating inside the
platform, obstructing the harvester's feed. For
the scraper to be effective, the gap between
the scraper and the smooth drum (G) must
be a maximum of 0.5 mm.
The purpose of the scraper is not to
assist the rotor to chop the crops, this
function is only of the counter-knife.
The scraper should be adjusted with
the smooth drum and not with the
knives.
NOTE!
1.
To access the scraper of the smooth
drum, articulate the platform to the side
(proceeding as described in item 6.3.).
2.
Loosen the three bolts (A) and pull the
scraper (D) all the way forward.
3.
Keep the three bolts (A) loose and return
the platform to the working position.
When closing it, the scraper (D) will be
pushed to the correct working position.
4.
Open the platform again and tighten the
bolts (A), securing the scraper (D).
If the scraper is damaged or worn and you
can not approach it from the smooth drum,
replace it with a new one.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
