6. Maintenance
After replacing the counter knife, adjust
with the knives as described in item 6.8
Manually rotate the rotor and check that
the knives do not touch the counter knife.
Operate the machine with the friction of
knives with counter-knife will damage the
machine and could result in the release of
fragments that could hit people and cause
an accident involving personal injury.
If all sides are already used, replace the
counter knife with a new one.
Also check the lower part wear (X) and, if
necessary, replace it too.
CAUTION!
Never operate the machine without the
safety protections.
ATTENTION!

Adjust the counter knives with the rotor
knives (see item 6.8 - 'Adjusting the knives
with the rotor counter knife';

Assemble the scraper (D) and fit the 3
bolts (A), without tightening them. PULL
THE SCRAPER TOTALLY FORWARD. Keep
the bolts (A) loose.
7.
Return the platform to the working
position. When closing it, the scraper
(D) will be moved to the correct working
position.
8.
Open the platform again and tighten the
nuts (A) of the scraper.
