6. Day Display Mode
In day display mode tubes show the time or, if
programmed, the display alternates between time and
date or only shows the date. The colons show what is
programmed in the corresponding user menu
(described later). The brightness of the tubes and
colons is as set in submenu 2.8. While the cathode
poisoning prevention cycles the tube brightness is
100% but colons are switched off.
The LED floor lighting is switched on, if this is
programmed in the corresponding user menus. The
brightness of the LEDs is as set in Submenu 2.9.
If a GPS or DFC receiver is connected and the clock is
set to DCF/GPS mode in the corresponding user menu
the time and date is automatically synchronized to the
GPS/DCF signal.
If button 3 is pressed, date is displayed compulsorily
for 3 seconds.
If button 2 is pressed time is displayed compulsorily for
3 seconds.
7. NPD Mode (Night power-down mode)
In night power-down mode the tubes, colons and LEDs
are dimmed (or switched off) to the level, set in
Submenu 2.10 and 2.11, and, if tube brightness level
set to 0% the 170V power supply is switched off. RTC,
GPS/DCF still run in the back end of course.
While the cathode poisoning prevention cycles the
tube brightness is 100% but colons are switched off.
But, if tube brightness is set to 0% in submenu 2.10
the cathode poisoning prevention is switched off
completely, too.
If button 3 is pressed, date is displayed compulsorily
for 3 seconds with brightness level set in submenu
2.10. If brightness level set in submenu 2.10 is 0%
(tubes off) and button 3 is pressed, date is displayed
compulsorily for 3 seconds with brightness level set in
submenu 2.8.
If button 2 is pressed, time is displayed compulsorily
for 3 seconds with brightness level set in submenu
2.10. If brightness level set in submenu 2.10 is 0%
(tubes off) and button 3 is pressed, time is displayed
compulsorily for 3 seconds with brightness level set in
submenu 2.8.
