Confirmation and Setting of Receiver Computer
6.3.1
Reception structure of measurement data
The measurement data transmitted from the LM-1800P/LM-1800PD is captured by the receiver com-
puter as shown in the illustration below.
The measurement data transmitted via LAN are written to the shared folder set on the receiver com-
puter. Then, it is extracted by filing software such as NAVIS, and saved in the database.
6.3.2
Setting up the shared folder
Set up a shared folder to save the measurement data transmitted from the LM-1800P/LM-1800PD.
The shared folder (folder path) set up here is set in the parameter of the device and software (such as
NAVIS) of the receiver computer.

Extraction and storage of
measurement data
• Do not set up a shared folder on an external storage such as an external hard disk.
• Be sure that a folder with the same name does not exist.
The device cannot discern the folder and measurement data cannot be transmitted properly.
ex.) “C:\TEMP\DATA” and “C:\ProgramFiles\DATA”: Folder name “DATA” is common.
Change the name of either folder to such as “C:\TEMP\ARK” to avoid repeated folder name.
* This applies only when creating a shared folder.
