2. PRESENTATION
2.1 General description
The STERILOR Duo can automatically
produce chlorine in the form of sodium
hypochlorite (bleach) by electrolysing salt
water containing between 4 and 5 gr / litre.
At the same time, it analyses the pH of
your water and regulates it automatically.
2.1.1 Operation of the Salt part
The STERILOR Duo automatic system
operates based on the principle of salt
water electrolysis.
Thanks to its microprocessor, STERILOR
Duo controls the emission of a low voltage
electric current towards an electrolysis cell
placed on the filtration circuit backflow
(after any analysis electrode as well as any
booster pump, heat pump, or heating
output).
This cell contains several electrodes made
of titanium and specially treated with
precious metal oxides, in order to
withstand changes in polarity of the
production current.
The pool water, which has a very low salt
content (4 to 5 g/l), passes into the
electrolysis cell and is transformed into
sodium hypochlorite (bleach), which is a
powerful steriliser.
The STERILOR Duo will allow you avoid
adding chlorinated products.
STERILOR Duo is compatible with all
current pool liners, and adapts to any
existing or new filtration systems.
Warning:
Salt is incompatible with metal filtration
systems.
When adding salt to the pool for the first
time or during each subsequent addition,
the STERILOR Duo box must be switched
off for at least 24 hours, and total
dissolution of the salt must be validated
before starting or restarting the device.

2.1.2 Operation of the pH part
The automatic STERILOR Duo
system proportionally regulates the pH
using a peristaltic pump, and a control with
LCD screen display.
