Never use hydrochloric acid which would
prematurely degrade the injection pump
For water that tends to be acidic, a plus
pH corrector must be used and program the
device as pH.
6.3 Displaying the pH measurement
The value measured is displayed on a
digital display to the nearest one
hundredth.
A bar graph using the colours of the
colorimetric analyses is used to show the
pH area from a distance.
The pH value measured in the water is
displayed constantly.
6.4 Pump operating time
The exact operating time of the
pump is known. After a certain operating
time every 800 hours, the inner core and
the surrounding latex needs to be changed.
A diagnosis signal displays D007 (see page
20).
6.5 Calibration
Each electrode is calibrated in the
factory and allocated to a STERILOR Duo
box.
Any pH analysis electrode changes
over time and ages. The signals that it emits
based on the pH gradually fade depending
on the aggressiveness of the medium in
which it is plunged.
This ageing is further accentuated as the
sensor is swept by a significant flow of
water. Installing the sensor in the bypass
chamber protects it from premature ageing.
To obtain a reliable analysis of the water's
pH, the electronic box must therefore know
the state of wear of the pH analysis
electrode.
This is the main role of the calibration
-
Calibration is necessary once a year, and
whenever an electrode is changed. It
improves the accuracy of the measurement
and prevents it from ageing.
