This operation is very easy to carry out. Any
user can calibrate the electrode by
following the explanations below.
-
No diagnosis must appear before starting
the calibration.
Comments
:
The solutions are perishable solutions. They
may also be contaminated on each
calibration, during calibrations and to avoid
any contamination, it is recommended to
use a different bottle than the storage
bottle provided to carry out the test.
An out-of-date or contaminated solution
may produce calibration errors and
incorrect measurements.
6.5.1 Calibration - buffer solution 7
-
Rinse the electrode in clean water.
-
Wipe it carefully using a soft and clean cloth
(do not directly rub the active part of the
electrode = glass bulb at the end).
-
Dip the electrode in the pH buffer solution
provided pH =7.01
-
Press on button 7 for 5 seconds.
-
The calibration area initially at 000 changes
to 300, and the countdown from 300
seconds (i.e. 5 minutes) starts.
-
Leave the electrode plunged in the pH 7.01
solution until the final countdown, and do
not touch it during the countdown.
-
Wait 5 minutes for the countdown to finish,
the display then indicates 7.01.
Warning: this phase can be stopped by a
change in polarity, if the change in polarity
timer is lower than 05 00, wait for the
change in polarity before starting the
calibration.
If calibration has started and a change in
polarity occurs, the calibration countdown
is stopped and can only be resumed after
the change in polarity. Leave the sensor in
the solution, wait for the change in polarity
to finish, the calibration countdown
resumes and the procedure continues
normally.
-
Remove the electrode from the buffer
solution 7.01, rinse it with clear water.
6.5.2 Calibration – buffer solution 10
-
Wipe the electrode carefully using a soft
and clean cloth (do not directly rub the
active part of the electrode = glass bulb at
the end).
-
Dip the electrode in the pH buffer solution
provided pH =10.01
-
Press on button 10 for 5 sec.
-
The pH value flashes at the top of the
screen.
pH
Buffer Solution = 7.01
5 sec.
pH
Buffer Solution = 10.01
5 sec.
