guidelines. Read the entire manual and follow the guidelines each time you
use this product.
1.KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This manual contains important safety and
operating instructions. You may need to refer to these instructions at a later date.
2. CAUTION. To reduce the risk of injury, charge wet type lead acid batteries,
gel batteries or AGM type automotive batteries. Other types of batteries may
rupture, causing personal injury and property damage.
3. do not expose the charger to rain or snow.
4. using an adapter that is not recommended or sold by the battery charger
manufacturer may create a risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
If the battery charger is not recommended or sold by the manufacturer,
there is a risk of fire, electric shock or injury.
6. ensure that the cord is positioned so that it cannot be stepped on, tripped
over, or otherwise subjected to damage or strain.
7. the extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of
an improper extension cord may result in the risk of fire and electric shock.
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, make sure that:
a. The plugs on the extension cord plug are the same size and shape as the
plug on the charger;
b. The extension cable is not damaged. 8.
8. do not use the charger with a damaged cord or plug, replace the cord or
plug immediately
9. Do not use the charger if it has been hit hard, dropped or otherwise
damaged; take it to a qualified service centre.
10. When service or repair is required, take it to a qualified service facility.
11. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the charger from the outlet
before servicing or cleaning. Turning off the switch on the unit will not
reduce this risk.
12. WARNING - RISK OF EXPLOSIVE GASES
a. WORKING IN THE VICINITY OF AN ACID BATTERY IS DANGEROUS.
BATTERIES PRODUCE EXPLOSIVE GASES DURING NORMAL OPERATION. FOR
THIS REASON IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU READ THIS MANUAL AND FOLLOW
THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY EVERY TIME BEFORE USING THE CHARGER.
b. To reduce the risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and the
instructions published by the battery manufacturer and the manufacturer of
the equipment you intend to use near the battery. Review the warning
markings on these products and on the motor.
13 It is not permitted to use the modes: 12V STD, 12V AGM/C, 12V GEL, 12V
LFP, SUPPLY and other charging modes to charge 6V lead acid batteries or
any lithium batteries;
14. the 14.12 V LFP mode is only suitable for 12 V lithium iron-phosphate
battery and not for other lithium batteries, it is prohibited to charge other
lithium batteries;
15. for lead-acid batteries with a battery voltage of less than 3V, if the voltage
cannot be increased with this charger for a long time, it is recommended to
replace the battery
16. in the case of a battery that displays BAT on the screen, it is advisable to
replace the battery;
PERSONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. When working near a lead-acid battery, someone should be within
earshot of your voice or close enough to come to your aid if needed,
2. have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case the battery acid comes
into contact with your skin, clothing, or eyes.
3. Wear full eye protection and protective clothing. Avoid touching your
eyes when working near a battery.
4. if battery acid comes in contact with your skin or clothing, immediately
flush with soap and water. If acid gets into your eye, immediately run cold
water over it for at least 10 minutes and call for medical help.
5 NEVER smoke or allow sparks near the battery or engine.
6 Use extreme caution to reduce the risk of dropping a metal tool on the
battery. Doing so could spark or short-circuit the battery or other electrical
component, which could result in an explosion.
7 Remove personal metal objects such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and
watches when working with the lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can
produce a short-circuit current high enough to cause severe burns.
8 Use the charger only to charge the battery The unit is not designed to
supply low-voltage electrical power other than at the starter. Do not use the
charger to charge dry batteries that are commonly used in household
appliances. These batteries may rupture and cause personal injury and
property damage.
9. NEVER charge a frozen battery.
