9.11 Vacuum level
WARNING! Risk of hearing impairment.
Use a hearing protector when verifying the vacuum level. The sound level is very high when the
unit is run with the enclosure roof removed.
Perform the following vacuum level inspection every 500 hours of operation:
1. Close all valves at work sites.
2. Start the unit.
3. Verify the level on the vacuum meter corresponds with the working vacuum specified in
‘Table 4-1: Technical data’.
4. Adjust the vacuum level if necessary, see Section ‘9.11.1 Adjusting the vacuum level’.
9.11.1 Adjusting the vacuum level
Do the following to adjust the vacuum level:
1. Remove the roof. Keep all enclosure panels in place.
2. Release the regulator knob from locked position, see Figure 1 item 15.
– Turn the knob anti-clockwise to decrease the vacuum.
– Turn the knob clockwise to increase the vacuum.
3. Push down the regulator knob to the locked position.
4. Refit the roof.
9.12 Pump service
The 3-lobe roots pump must be dismantled for replacement of bearings and gear wheels after
30,000 hours of operation. This service must be carried out by qualified personnel. Contact your
local Nederman representative for more information.
9.13 Spare parts
Installation, repair and maintenance work must be carried out by qualified personnel using only
original spare parts. Contact your nearest authorised distributor or AB Ph. Nederman & Co. for
advice on technical service or if you require spare parts. See also www.nederman.com.
Ordering spare parts
When ordering spare parts always state the following:
• Part- and control number (see the product identification plate).
• Detail number and name of the spare part (see www.nederman.com).
• Quantity of the parts required.
10 Recycling
The product has been designed so that component materials can be recycled. Its different
material types must be handled according to relevant local regulations. Contact the distributor or
Nederman if uncertainties arise when scrapping the product at the end of its service life.
